Longmont, CO: Suspect in two hit-and-run crashes ticketed for DUI in Longmont on Thursday, 15th November 2018
A suspect in two hit and run crashes on night was summoned on multiple charges.
Mark L. Rust, 22, was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence, as well as two counts each of careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to notify police of an accident and not carrying insurance.
Police say Rust, a Longmont resident, was involved in a rear-end crash around 7 p.m. on Tuesday near Ken Pratt Boulevard and South Main Street, according to Longmont police Cmdr. Joel Post.
Rust was also involved in a hit and run crash in the 200 block of Ken Pratt Boulevard the same night, around 8:15 p.m. Police found Rust and arrested him shortly after.
Post said they believe Rust was high on LSD and mushrooms while driving.
No one was injured in the crashes.
