Uniontown, PA : 1 killed, 1 injured after being struck by vehicle on Route 43 in Georges Township on Sunday, July 31, 2016

State police say one person was killed and another injured when they were struck by a vehicle in western Pennsylvania.

Police in Fayette County said the two were struck shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of Route 43 in Georges Township.

The county coroner’s office said the person killed was a 20-year-old man from Hiller. Police said the other person’s injuries weren’t life-threatening.

No arrests were immediately announced and the circumstances surrounding the accident weren’t immediately available.
