PHOENIX, AZ : 3-vehicle crash in north Phoenix leaves 1 dead, others in hospital on Friday, 26th January 2024

One person died and multiple people are in a hospital after a 3-vehicle crash late Friday night in Paradise Valley Village.

Phoenix police and fire crews were called around 11:45 p.m. to the crash on Greenway Road, east of 44th Street. Three people in one car had to be rescued from their vehicles. However, the driver of an SUV, a man, died at the scene. Police say the occupants of the third vehicle left the area before police arrived.

That’s all the information available from police so far as they investigate what led up to the crash. They have not yet released the name of the person who died.

Police say traffic in the area reopened Saturday morning.
