A 57-year-old Dartmouth man involved in a motorcycle crash last Sunday in Westport has died of his injuries, police said.
Daniel J. Levesque of Deerfield Lane was less than a half-mile from his house and riding his 1965 Triumph motorcycle on Highland Avenue in Westport when he collided with an SUV that was backing out of a residential driveway, Detective Jeff Majewski of the Westport Police Department told SouthCoastToday.
Majewski said the motorcycle skidded for about 85 feet and Levesque was thrown about 25 feet.
He was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries and later died, police said.
