LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC : Highway Patrol investigating fatal I-26 collision on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision that happened in Lexington County Wednesday evening.
Troopers say just after 5 p.m. a car traveling east on I-26 attempted to make an improper lane change near the I-77 intersection when it struck another vehicle. Both cars ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
The driver who made the improper lane change died at the scene. The other driver was transported to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.
SCHP continues to investigate the collision.
