New York, NY : A 26-year-old man was critically hurt in Brooklyn on Monday, January, 29th 2018

A 26-year-old man was critically hurt in Brooklyn after the car he was riding in smashed into a utility pole amid a flurry of snow, police said.

The driver lost control of the car around 11 p.m. along a wide stretch of Flatbush Ave. next to the Marine Park Golf Course and careened into the pole near Avenue V, according to police.

The passenger suffered head trauma in the crash and was taken to King’s Hospital in critical condition, cops said.

The driver’s condition and the cause of the wreck were not immediately known.
