Skagit County, WA : Lake Stevens motorcyclist injured after crash on Bayview Edison Road near the community of Bow on Sunday morning, October 23, 2016

A Lake Stevens motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after being injured in a crash late Sunday morning in Skagit County.

The 42-year-old woman reportedly attempted to pass three vehicles on Bayview Edison Road near the community of Bow, according to the Washington State Patrol. The front vehicle, a pick-up truck, made a left turn onto a hunting road. The motorcyclist apparently was unable to stop in time. The motorcycle went down and slid across the pavement, then hit the driver’s side of the truck.

The Lake Stevens woman was wearing a helmet. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor, according to the State Patrol.

The 70-year-old driver and a 32-year-old passenger in the truck were not injured.
