Memphis ,TN : One person killed after hit by a car at South 3rd street near Interstate 55 on Monday night ,March 16th 2015

One person was killed on Monday night when hit by a car on South 3rd Street, not far from Interstate 55.

The accident happened just before midnight. The driver remained on the scene. It is not clear whether he will be cited.

The victim has not yet been identified.
