Omaha, NE : One killed, two hospitalized after head-on crash near DeSoto on Wednesday, 23rd May 2018

A head-on collision in western Iowa killed one and put two others in an Omaha hospital late Wednesday morning.

Marie Carveth Bryan 74, of Mondamin, Iowa, one of the drivers, was pronounced dead at the scene. Deborah Davey, 62, and Scott Davey, 61, the driver and passenger of the other vehicle, were flown by medical helicopter to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

The crash occurred on Austin Avenue, a paved road that links Modale to U.S. Highway 30, about a mile northeast of the entrance to the DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge.
