Two people had minor injuries after a driver ran a red light and t-boned another car Thursday afternoon about 4:30 p.m., according to Statesville police.
SPD Officer R. Robinson said a silver Ford didn't stop for a red light at the intersection of North Center and Race streets and struck a red Toyota.
Both drivers were injured, but the Toyota driver was pinned in the vehicle and had to be cut out. That driver was transported to an area hospital.
The other driver is facing charges. Names were not immediately available. Traffic was blocked to one lane.
