Urbana, OH : 4 injured after head-on crash south of Urbana on Tuesday, 23rd July 2019

Four people were injured, including a man who was flown from the scene after a head-on crash south of Urbana Tuesday morning, according to deputies. The crash was reported on Ohio 54 at Shortcut Road shortly before 9:30 a.m.A blue Hyundai sedan, driven by Christopher Stutz, of Urbana, was traveling south on Ohio 54 and attempted to turn left on Shortcut Road, deputies said in a media release. The sedan turned in front of a maroon Ford Explorer SUV that was traveling north on Ohio 54 and caused a head-on crash, according to investigators. Stutz was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by a CareFlight medical helicopter for treatment. He has since been discharged from the hospital, according to a hospital representative. The driver of the SUV, identified as Tomara Shoemaker, or Urbana Twp., and her two children who were also in the vehicle, were transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment. The condition of Shoemaker and her children were not released.
