Columbia, SC : Bicyclist injured in a collision involving a car at Pickens and Greene streets on Thursday evening, August 25, 2016

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a collision involving a bicyclist and a car that happened Thursday evening.

The collision happened at Pickens and Greene streets around 6 p.m., according to officers with CPD.

Columbia Police said the bicyclist is in critical, but stable condition at a local hospital.

Police say the Traffic Safety Unit is investigating how the collision happened.
