St. Charles, MO : Lincoln County man killed in three-car crash near the northern edge of St. Charles County on Wednesday, October 12, 2016

A Foley man died after a three-car crash Wednesday near the northern edge of St. Charles County.

David G. Lampson, 35, was driving behind another car when his 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier struck the back end of a pickup truck, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The two vehicles were traveling south on Highway 79, just north of Dalbow Road in St. Charles County.

After the crash, both vehicles crossed into the northbound lanes. The pick-up truck hit a third car that overturned.

Lampson, who was not wearing a seat belt, later died of his injuries. A passenger in Lampson's car, Lauren Killian, 28, of Foley, was seriously injured. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries and the third driver was not hurt, the patrol said.
