St. Cloud, MN : Man hurt in motorcycle crash near Sartell on Saturday, April 8, 2017

A 54-year-old Sartell man was injured Saturday after being thrown from his motorcycle, according to a release from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred at 1:33 p.m. at First Street North and 30th Avenue North in Le Sauk Township, according to the release.

The sheriff's office said a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by August Fabel, was westbound on First Street North. Fabel attempted to slow his bike for a stop sign at 30th Avenue North and hit a patch of sand in the road.

The motorcycle started to skid and Fabel was thrown from the bike, the release said.

Fabel was treated on scene and then taken to by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital. The extent of Fabel's injuries were not released.
