OCRACOKE, NC : Husband dies, wife injured in vehicle crash on Outer Banks' Ocracoke Island on Tuesday, 13th February 2024

A man was killed and a woman was injured in a crash on the Outer Banks' Ocracoke Island Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for Hyde County, North Carolina confirmed to 13News Now.

According to the spokesperson, who shared information from the Hyde County Sheriff's Department, 61-year-old Warren Howard Frantz and his wife Janet were traveling north on North Carolina Highway 12 to catch the 11 a.m. ferry to Hatteras Island when their vehicle crashed.
