UPDATED: Two Haynesville men killed, infant sent to the hospital after crash on Sunday, 14th July 2019

HOMER, La. - The victims in a Sunday double fatality crash on Highway 79 have been identified by Louisiana State Police.

Around 11 a.m. Charles Pitts, 33, and Quentin Willis, 37, both of Haynesville, were pronounced dead at the scene in a two-vehicle crash, south of Homer.

Two others, including one with life-threatening injuries, were taken to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital in Shreveport.

Troopers say the crash occurred when a car, driven by Joncee Whited, 31, of Texarkana, Arkansas, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car driven by Pitts. Pitts and and Willis were properly restrained, according to police.

Whited was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. An infant passenger in Whited’s vehicle, who police say was properly restrained, was not injured,, but was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
