LAS VEGAS, NV : Man struck killed in hit-and-run west of Las Vegas Strip on Sunday, 13th October 2024

A man is dead after an early Sunday morning hit-and-run west of the Las Vegas Strip.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the initial crash occurred around 4:41 a.m. on West Sahara Avenue, east of the intersection with South Valley View Boulevard.

An initial investigation indicated that a white 2021 Honda Accord sedan was traveling east on Sahara. At the same time, a 55-year-old man was crossing Sahara outside of a marked crosswalk.

A crash occurred when the man entered the Honda’s path and was struck on his left side by the front of the vehicle. The Honda then fled the scene.
