Tulsa, OK : Two people died after a head-on collision on May, Friday, 19th 2017
Two people died after a head-on collision Friday evening on Oklahoma 20 near Skiatook in Osage County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Johnny Taylor Brown, 28, of Claremore was eastbound on the two-lane road in a 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer about 6:30 p.m. when he crossed the center line for an unknown reason at the entrance to the Skiatook Osage Casino, according to troopers. His SUV collided with a westbound 2015 Dodge Journey driven by Tiffany Nicole Schmidt, 28, of Skiatook, troopers reported.
Schmidt was pronounced dead at the scene from internal injuries by Skiatook EMS. Brown was transported in critical condition by Skiatook EMS to Saint John Medical Center in Tulsa, where he later died from his injuries, the OHP reported.
Troopers reported Brown was not wearing a seatbelt, while Schmidt was.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, the OHP said.
