Cookeville,TN : One airlifted following Halloween accident on October, Tuesday 31st 2017

One person was transported by air for advanced medical treatment after an accident Tuesday evening.
Leonard Lowe, 51, of Baxter, was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Tiffany McDermott of Cookeville, a passenger in Lowe's vehicle, was transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
According to Cookeville Police, he was listed in stable condition Wednesday morning.
The preliminary investigation shows Lowe was driving a 1993 Mercury Cougar southbound on Dixie Avenue just south of Kenway Street. Police believe 24-year-old Grant Reed, of Cookeville, was traveling north, crossed the center line and hit the Cougar head-on.
Reed sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene.
This crash remains under investigation. If anyone witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken with police, please call the Traffic Enforcement Division of the Cookeville Police Department at 520-5370 or the main station at 526-2125.
