CLAY COUNTY, MO : 2 dead, two students injured in 4-vehicle Clay County crash involving school bus on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024

Law enforcement has confirmed to KCTV5 that two people died on Wednesday afternoon in a crash.

A school bus and three other vehicles were involved in the collision at Route A and Missouri Highway 92 between Smithville and Kearney.

A vehicle was stopped to make a left turn when a second vehicle swerved to avoid hitting the stopped car. The approaching car struck both the stopped vehicle and traveled in front of a school bus.

That car then struck a third vehicle, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
