Albuquerque,NM : Two dead in crash involving motorcycle on June, thursday 8th 2017

Two people on a motorcycle died in a southwest Albuquerque crash on Thursday afternoon, according to an Albuquerque Police Department spokesman.

Officer Daren DeAguero said police are still investigating what factors led to the double fatality crash at 98th and San Ygnacio.

He said the two people on the motorcycle were traveling north bound on 98th Street while the other vehicle was headed south and attempting to make a turn.

“The motorcycle then collided with the vehicle. Both individuals on the motorcycle succumbed to their injuries on scene,” DeAguero said. “The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.”

He said the intersection has reopened.
