Center Township, PA : Driver flown to hospital after 308 crash on Saturday, 8th December 2018
Center City, Pennsylvania
A heavy truck collided with an SUV on Route 308 in Center Township at about 10 a.m., severely injuring the woman driving the SUV and trapping her inside.
First responders were on scene providing medical support to the woman and preparing to transport her from the wreckage to a medical helicopter which was landing on the road nearby.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
State police are investigating. Unionville Volunteer Fire Company is also on scene.
The SUV is partially underneath the garbage truck, which is overturned.
The SUV driver was conscious and talking as of about 11 a.m. and was later flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
