Delaware, OH : 19-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash in State Route 745 in Delaware County on Saturday October 31 2015
Authorities in central Ohio say a 19-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash that also seriously injured the car's driver.
The Delaware post of the State Highway Patrol says James Christopher Norman Jr., of Ostrander, was killed early Saturday morning when the car he was in ran off State Route 745 in Delaware County, striking a culvert and then a utility pole.
A statement from the patrol says Norman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at about 4 a.m.
Troopers say 20-year-old Timothy Mikita of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, was driving the car. He was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
The patrol said alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
