Kent County, MI: One killed and One injured in a Deadly crash along M-57 near Rockford on Monday, August 3rd 2015

Michigan State Police closed 14 Mile Road (M-57) northeast of Rockford Monday morning due to a head-on crash that killed one person.It happened around 5:45 a.m. at 14 Mile and Lappley Avenue NE in Oakfield Township.Dispatchers tell us one person was killed. Another victim was being sent to Spectrum Health Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids by ambulance. There's no word on that person's condition.Troopers are looking into what happened. Their investigation kept 14 Mile Road closed for several hours.
