Bryan, TX : Incoming Aggie Band commander killed in wreck on Texas 21 in Brazos County early Sunday evening, February 19, 2017

A 20-year-old driver killed in a fiery crash in Brazos County early Sunday evening has been identified as the incoming commander of the Aggie Band.
Alexander Jones, who served as the band's sergeant major during his junior year and had just been named to the coveted leadership post, died at the scene of the two-vehicle wreck on Texas 21.
Police scanner traffic Sunday evening stated that the driver was trapped in the burning car, which was under the 18-wheeler. The other driver was treated and released from a Bryan hospital.
The wreck remained under investigation late Monday.
Department of Public Safety troopers and the Brazos County Sheriff's Office worked into the night Sunday sorting wreckage and directing traffic.
Traffic was shut down for several hours in both directions near Pleasant Hill Road, not far from the Texas A&M System's RELLIS campus.
