Lincoln, NE : One person has died after a minivan and semitrailer collided on Wednesday, August 30, 2017
One person has died after a minivan and semitrailer collided head-on southwest of Lincoln around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
The collision occurred on Nebraska 33 at Southwest 100th Street.
Investigators from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said the driver and lone occupant of the eastbound minivan swerved into incoming traffic and struck a semitrailer head on.
The minivan's driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The semitrailer's driver was treated and released at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol is not believed to be a factor, the sheriff's office said.
Names are being withheld until families are notified.
