WINDHAM, ME : Two pedestrians were seriously hurt on Friday, October, 6th 2017
Two pedestrians were seriously hurt when they were hit by a car in Windham Friday night, police said.
Windham police and firefighters responded to reports of a crash involving pedestrians at the intersection of Roosevelt Trail and Franklin Drive at 9:35 p.m. Friday, police said.
According to a press release, Joel Sanborn, 40, of Bridgton and Matthew Hall, 42, of Naples, were walking eastbound on Roosevelt Trail when they were hit by a 2015 Volvo driven by Ann Marie Bell, 51, of Kennebunk.
Sanborn and Hall suffered serious injuries and were taken to area hospitals, police said. Bell was not injured.
It is unknown if Bell will face charges.
Roosevelt Trail was closed for about 2 1/2 hours but has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
