AMITE, LA : Amite man killed in St Helena Parish crash on Saturday, 26th August 2023

The Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that killed an Amite man in St. Helena Parish Saturday morning.

Bruce Williams, 25, was heading north on LA Hwy 441 in a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis when he traveled off of the roadway and overturned multiple times, state police said. Williams was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As part of the investigation, a routine toxicology sample was taken from Williams for testing. The crash remains under investigation.
