Baltimore, MD : Bicyclist struck, killed by dump truck on Chester Street near Chase Street on Monday afternoon, August 15, 2016

Baltimore police say a bicyclist was fatally injured when he was hit by a dump truck that left the scene.

The department said in a news release that the crash occurred Monday afternoon on Chester Street near Chase Street. Police say a 54-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he was hit by the dump truck.

Officers say the truck left the scene and was last seen traveling north on Chester Street.

The bicyclist, whom police did not identify, was taken to a hospital, where he died.
