LAS VEGAS, NV : Driver faces DUI charges for deadly North Las Vegas crash on Tuesday, 16th July 2024

A 57-year-old has been arrested following a crash that killed a pedestrian after midnight Tuesday.

Police said the crash happened at the intersection of June Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Officers responded after reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, a pedestrian was crossing Martin Luther King Boulevard north of the intersection and outside a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian would be later identified as 47-year-old male.

At the same moment, the driver of a 2012 Ford Fusion, later identified as Marc Du Shane Wesley, drove northbound on the same street and struck the pedestrian.
