Cherokee,OK : Cherokee man hospitalized following Thursday morning crash on June, Thursday 29th 2017
The condition of a 58-year-old Cherokee man hospitalized after his vehicle struck a semi Thursday morning remains under investigation, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at 8:02 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 64 and CR 470, about 2 miles east of Alva in Woods County, according to an OHP report.
Vincent Wade Beall was transported from the scene by Alva EMS to Share Medical Center in Alva, where he was admitted in stable condition with head, internal and external body, and arm injuries, according to the report.
According to the patrol, a 2015 Freightliner, driven by Larry Todd Drake, 50, of Stratford, Texas, was eastbound and Beall was westbound in a 1994 Honda Accord. Beall's vehicle went left of center, striking Drake's vehicle, according to the report. Drake was uninjured.
The report lists Drake's condition as "apparently normal." Beall's condition and the cause of the collision are both listed as "under investigation."
