Erie, PA : 59-year-old West Springfield woman was injured in a crash on Thursday, 28th June 2018

A 59-year-old West Springfield woman was injured Thursday afternoon in a crash on Route 6N in Springfield Township, police reported.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of controlled substances, police said.

Police said the woman was driving a Subaru Outback south on Route 6N at about 5:45 p.m. when the vehicle veered off the right lane, drove over a grass divider, crossed the two southbound lanes and struck a guardrail.

The vehicle then crossed back over the two southbound lanes and crashed into a bridge railing before it came to a stop, police said.
