Honey Brook, Pennsylvania
Police are trying to determine how a flatbed tractor trailer ended up crashing into a house in Chester County on Tuesday.
The truck was hauling cement blocks when it hit the house in the 4100 block of Horseshoe Pike / Route 322 in the borough of Honey Brook shortly before 10 a.m. The truck also took out three cars and nine trailers, officials said. "It appears the driver went into some sort of coughing fit, and he said the next thing he knew he was in the crash," said Chief Patrick Ely, Honey Brook police. A couple and their four children live in the home. The kids were were either at school or with their grandfather, John Wentworth, at the time of the wreck; their parents are in Chicago, officials said. "It's real bad," Wentworth said. "The whole front of the house is gone." Crews spent much of the day working to pull the tractor trailer out of the house. Police said the driver suffered a minor head injury. "They did transport him to Brandywine Hospital, but it wasn't anything major, just minor abrasions, but no body else was hurt," Ely said
