Lynchburg, VA : Two-vehicle crash sends one to hospital, knocks out power to traffic signal on Sunday, March 12th 2017
The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 460 and Concord Turnpike Sunday evening that knocked out power to a traffic signal.According to Sgt. G.T. Anderson of the Lynchburg Police Department, the wreck occurred about 5 p.m. during which one of the vehicles struck the control systems of a traffic signal, knocking out power to the signal.
The Virginia Department of Transportation estimates it may take up to three hours to have power to the traffic signal restored, Anderson said.
One of the drivers involved in the crash was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, Anderson said.
