Lynnwood, WA : Woman injured after 110-mph chase up I-5 ends in crash on Wednesday, December 17, 2014

A woman was seriously injured in a crash early Wednesday after leading state troopers on a chase up Interstate 5 at speeds of up to 110 mph, the Washington State Patrol reports. The incident began at about 1:05 a.m. when troopers clocked the woman's car traveling at extremely high speeds on northbound I-5 near 164th Street in Lynnwood. Troopers attempted to pull her over but she kept going and tried to get off the freeway at a bus-only exit ramp, where she crashed into a concrete barrier. The woman was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Her car was severely damaged by the impact. The incident remains under investigation.
