Columbia, SC : Vehicle crashes into Columbia apartment on Monday morning, May 30, 2016

A vehicle crashed into an apartment Monday morning in Columbia.

The crash occurred just before 7:30 when an SUV crashed into the wall of the CanalSide Lofts in the 300 block of Taylor Street.

Based on preliminary information, Columbia Police suspect the driver lost control of the vehicle, swerved and crashed into the building.

The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution. There were no injuries to the people inside the building.
