Concord, N.C : School bus involved in wreck in downtown Concord on Thursday, September 22, 2016

A Cabarrus County Schools bus with seven students on board was involved in a wreck at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22.

The wreck occurred at the intersection where Cabarrus Ave. East and Church Street North meet, near the Exxon gas station.

The Concord Police Department and the Concord Fire Department responded to the scene.

It appears that a woman driving a white Honda rear-ended the bus.

A Cabarrus County Schools official said the bus was coming from C.C. Griffin Middle School and there were seven students on board. The bus is No. 126.
