Norfolk, VA : Driver dies in collision on Centerville Turnpike in Chesapeake on Thursday morning, July 28, 2016

A driver died Thursday morning in a crash in the 2200 block of Centerville Turnpike South.

Police were called to the crash about 5 a.m., said police spokesman Ravi Sheth. He said two vehicles collided head-on.

The driver who died, a 58-year-old woman whose name was not released, was alone in her vehicle, a police release said. The driver of the other vehicle, who also was alone, was treated for minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate the cause.
