Tucson, AZ : Motorcycle crash involving bicyclist closes south-side road on Sunday evening, April 24, 2016

A motorcycle crash involving a bicyclist on the south side is causing some traffic delays Sunday evening.

Tucson Police said two motorcycles were traveling south on Mission Road when one of the motorcyclists collided with a bicyclist on the roadway around 6:14 p.m. Sunday.

The man driving one of the motorcycles and a female passenger were thrown from their motorcycle after the collision, according to Tucson Police Sgt. Pete Dugan.

The male bicyclist, the male motorcyclist and the female passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment. At last check, the female passenger was listed in serious condition.

The second motorcyclist on the scene was not involved in the crash, according to Dugan.

Southbound Mission near Ajo will be closed for an undetermined amount of time while police investigate the crash.

The cause of the collision is not yet determined but police are conducting a DUI investigation.
