CASTLE HAYNE, NC : Officials respond to fatal head on collision in Castle Hayne on Thursday, 10th November 2016

Emergency crews and officials responded to a fatal head on collision involving four vehicles in Castle Hayne Thursday night.
According to Sgt. Hugh Cannady with the State Highway Patrol, the call came in at 6 p.m. to an accident that happened on Holly Shelter Road when a vehicle swerved to keep from hitting a front end loader and hit another vehicle head on.
One person died as a result of the crash and another received serious injuries and is currently undergoing surgery at NHRMC.
The other 2 people involved were not seriously injured.
