Eugene, OR : Woman and a two-year-old child died after a head-on collision with a semi-truck on Highway 99 Tuesday September 8 2015

A woman and a two-year-old child died after a head-on collision with a semi-truck on Highway 99 near Junction City Tuesday, police said.
Investigators said the semi-truck was traveling southbound on Highway 99W when it veered off the road and onto the shoulder just after 5 p.m. Then, the semi returned to the roadway and crossed into oncoming traffic, where it hit a F150 pickup truck head-on.
Amanda Wall, 28, of Eugene was a passenger in the truck and died at the scene. A two-year-old boy was flown to a local hospital, but could not be saved. The driver of the truck, Cory Wall, 32, of Eugene and a 3-month-old boy survived. They were both taken to Sacred Heart Riverbend Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The semi-truck rolled after the crash. The driver, identified as 56-year-old Randall Likens, had to be cut out of the cab and was taken to McKenzie Willamette Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, investigators said
