Columbus, OH : Patrol investigates two injury crashes in Guernsey County on Saturday, 29th October 2016
The Cambridge post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated a pair of unrelated injury accidents over the weekend that reportedly sent three people to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The accidents were reported on Yoker Valley Road in eastern Guernsey County Saturday afternoon and Interstate 70 near mile post 189 Sunday afternoon.
The names of the injured motorists were not available as of press time Monday.
According to reports at the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office, the first accident was reported at 4:12 p.m. Saturday outside a home on Yoker Valley Road in Millwood Township near Quaker City.
The 911 caller reported a motorcycle crash that injured two individuals.
The Quaker City Volunteer Fire Department, United Ambulance and highway patrol troopers were dispatched to the scene. Emergency responders remained at the scene until just after 6 p.m.
The injuries cyclists were reportedly transported to a Cambridge hospital. Without a name, the extent of their injuries nor the treatment provided were available.
The second accident at 2:03 p.m. Sunday on I-70 involved a Mercedes registered to a Columbus resident that overturned on the interstate.
Emergency responders from the Old Washington Fire Department and highway patrol were dispatched to the scene.
The injured motorist was transported by Old Washington EMS to Southeastern Med in Cambridge, but no additional information regarding the motorist's injuries or treatment was available as of press time.
The reports by the highway patrol were not available Monday morning.
Emergency responders remained at the scene until approximately 3 p.m.
Both accidents remained under investigation by the patrol's Cambridge post.
