Vance, SC : Jamar Neals, 21, killed in single-car crash in Orangeburg County early Saturday morning, April 23, 2016

A 21-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a single-car crash early Saturday morning in Orangeburg County.

The Coroner's Office reports, Jamar Neals, 21, of Harleyville, SC died of internal blunt force injuries as a result of the motor vehicle collision.

South Carolina Highway Patrol's Lance Corporal Judd Jones said Neals was in a vehicle traveling east on Lodge Hall Street in Vance around 2:30 a.m. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, then back onto the road before again going off the right side of the road, striking a tree and then overturned.

L/Cpl. Jones said Neals was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. A second person in the car was transported to the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg with serious injuries. That person's condition is not immediately known but Jones said the individual was also not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate.
