Wadena,MN : 1 injured in head-on crash with semi on March, Monday 26th 2018

A driver of a passenger car was injured when he collided head-on with a semi-truck trailer Monday morning on Hwy. 10 in Wadena near Heartland Tire.

Emergency personnel from Wadena Fire Department, Wadena County Sheriff's Office, Wadena Police Department, Tri-County Ambulance and Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene. The driver was extricated from the car and transported from the scene by ambulance. Dispatchers indicated that a helicopter could not respond due to the heavy snowfall. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.


Heavy snow at times throughout Monday created difficult driving. Several accidents and vehicles off the road were reported during the morning commute.

Snow is expected to continue to fall throughout the day with totals of 3-5 inches according to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks.
