One person was killed in a fiery wreck on Interstate 10 west near Horizon City on Monday, officials said.
A tractor trailer collided with a work crew truck at about 11:55 a.m. Monday on I-10 west, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials said. The collision caused both vehicles to go off the road and into the shoulder lane of the interstate.
Texas Department of Transportation officials said that one of the vehicles caught on fire due to the crash.
One person was killed in the wreck, officials said. No information on the person killed or any other people injured in the crash had been released as of Monday evening.
I-10 west between the Horizon City and the Clint exits remained closed to traffic for several hours Monday as sheriff’s deputies continued investigating the wreck. The highway was reopened at about 7 p.m., officials said.
No other information was immediately released.
