Newbold, WI : 27-year-old Rhinelander man was lost control of his car and died in a crash around 8:30 p.m Monday June 23 2014.

Authorities say a 27-year-old Rhinelander man was trying to flee police when he lost control of his car and died in a crash.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department says a Rhinelander police officer was trying to stop a vehicle for speeding around 8:30 p.m. Monday. A chase began, and the driver left the road and ran into the ditch.

The driver died at the scene. He's identified as Sean O'Corrain.
