ORONOKO TWP, MI : 1-vehicle crash injures 2 on Sunday, February 26th 2017
Two Indiana women were injured Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 31 near Snow Road, according to a news release from the Berrien Springs-Oronoko Twp. Police Department.
A gray 2004 Mazda SUV driven by Riche Larice Gray, 29, of Indianapolis, left the roadway and overturned while traveling south at about 11:20 a.m., according to the news release. It appears the SUV swerved into the median, overcorrected, then left the roadway on the right shoulder of the highway.
Gray and her passenger, Rachael Marie Davis, 29, of South Bend, may have been ejected from the vehicle, the release stated.
Both women were transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital by ambulance, according to the release. The accident remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the Berrien Springs-Oronoko Twp. Fire Department, Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police, Medic 1 Ambulance and SMCAS Ambulance.
