Pine City, MN : Hit-and-run crash reported in Hinckley on Tuesday, 8th November 2016
A bicyclist was struck by a car in an apparent hit-and-run crash, and law enforcement is asking the public’s help to find the car’s driver.
According to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office, on the morning of Nov. 8 shortly before 6 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a car-versus-bicycle accident at the intersection of 4th Street SE and Power Ave. North in Hinckley.
A bicyclist reported he was on his way to work and was crossing Power Avenue at 4th Street SE heading toward Fire Monument Road, but as he was crossing Power Avenue a silver or tan colored SUV type vehicle turned north onto Power Ave. from Fire Monument Road.
The vehicle struck the back tire area of the bicycle knocking the rider to the ground, and then continued on without stopping.
The rider had minor cuts and scrapes and did not get transported to the hospital.
