Nampa, ID : Ontario man dies in two-vehicle wreck near New Plymouth on Saturday February 11th 2017
An Ontario man died Saturday morning while riding his motorcycle along U.S. Highway 30, according to Idaho State Police.
An ISP release identified Brandon Schon, 33, of Ontario, Oregon, as the deceased early Sunday morning after next of kin were notified.
Schon was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on U.S. 30 when he struck a 1992 Ford F150 pickup truck driven by Henry Guilford, 77, of Payette. Guilford was heading westbound on the highway, turning left onto SW Second Avenue when Schon struck the pickup.
Schon, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. Guilford was not wearing a seat belt.
Eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 30 were closed for approximately three hours to clear the scene.
ISP is investigating the crash.
