Harlowe, N.C : Driver injured after crash on Highway 101 north of Beaufort on Tuesday, January 24, 2017

A man injured in a single-vehicle crash about 10:52 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 101 north of Beaufort was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville with numerous injuries.
The man’s name, age and address were not released due to privacy laws.
According to first responders, it appears the quad cab Dodge pickup truck was headed north on Highway 101 near Ball Farm Road, left the roadway and traveled some distance along the side of the road before he apparently lost control and rolled the vehicle over several times.
The truck came to rest on its passenger side with the roof of the cab up against a tree. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by rescue personnel. He was transported to nearby Sea Gate subdivision and loaded onto a Vidant rescue helicopter that had landed in a field there.
His condition was not available by presstime.
